Newcastle United Women picked up yet another Tyne-Wear derby win on Sunday, recording an impressive 3-1 victory over Sunderland Women at St. James' Park.

The derby spoils are once again heading to the black and white half of the north east after four second-half goals on Tyneside.

After a tense opening 45 minutes, the latter stages of the St. James' Park contest brought plenty of action.

United goalkeeper Anna Tamminen saved Eleanor Dale's penalty shortly after the interval, before Deanna Cooper put the home side ahead at the opposite end just beyond the hour-mark.

Newcastle doubled their lead three minutes later, with Emily Murphy finding the net.

Sunderland hit back almost immediately, through Keira Barry, but Murphy restored the two-goal advantage in the 78th-minute.

The win sees Claire Ditchburn's side jump to fourth in the Women's Super League 2 table.
