Newcastle United Under-21s have been drawn alongside Luton Town, Nottingham Forest and Peterborough United in Group D of the 2026/27 Premier League Cup.

The Toon teenagers will host their Forest counterparts on Friday 4 September in their opening group fixture (kick-off time TBC), before welcoming Luton Town to Tyneside on Friday 9 October (kick-off 7pm BST), which will take place at Whitley Park.

Robbie Stockdale's side will then host Peterborough at Whitley Park on Friday 30 October (kick-off 7pm BST) before facing an away clash against the Posh on Friday 13 November, which takes place at the Weston Homes Stadium (kick-off 7pm GMT).

The young Magpies face an away trip to Nottingham Forest seven days later (kick-off time TBC) before, in their final group game, taking on Luton's second-string at Kenilworth Road on Monday 7 December (kick-off 7pm GMT).

Teams must finish in the top two spots of their respective group to qualify for the last-16 stage.

Newcastle United's second-string reached the final of the competition in 2018/19 with a squad containing the likes of Matty Longstaff and Jamie Sterry before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat against Everton at Goodison Park.
