Eddie Howe makes three changes to the team which beat Manchester City as Newcastle United take on Marseille in the UEFA Champions League.

Dan Burn, who served a one-match ban against the Blues, comes in for Lewis Hall as the United boss looks to manage the 20-year-old's minutes following his recent return from injury.

Joe Willock and Anthony Gordon also start, with Joelinton and Nick Woltemade making way. Fit-again Gordon has four goals in United's four Champions League ties so far while Harvey Barnes - who scored both goals against Man City at the weekend - has three.

Willock made his 150th Magpies appearance from the bench on Sunday. Fabian Schär continues in central defence alongside Malick Thiaw.

Sixteen-year-old midfielder Sam Alabi is named amongst the substitutes. The England under-17 international joined the Magpies' Academy from Oldham Athletic in the summer of 2023 and recently made his full debut for Newcastle's Under-21s side during an EFL Trophy clash against Harrogate Town.
