Matthias Jaissle's players have been hard at work this week as they look to right the wrongs of Saturday's narrow defeat to Aston Villa at St. James' Park.

The Magpies will be hoping to bounce back against a Crystal Palace side who currently find themselves 14th in the Premier League following a 5-0 defeat to rivals Brighton and Hove Albion.

Jaissle is hoping to welcome some senior stars back into the fold for the trip to the capital but has already been working with a strong contingent of players at The KNOX training centre this week.

Our club photographer, Serena Taylor, was on hand to snap the players hard at work on Tyneside during one of those sessions - and you can check out the image gallery below.
