Shania Hayles grabbed the only goal in the memorable 1-0 triumph over the Black Cats in front of a crowd of 38,502 - the highest-ever attendance for both Becky Langley's side and the second tier.

That win moved the Magpies up to sixth in the table but Sunday sees them face a stern test with the Lionesses currently sitting second in the table, just one point off the summit with a game in hand as they chase promotion to the top flight.

As United look to round off a fine week with another three points, Harriet Massey went along to Thursday's training session to bring newcastleunited.com this gallery.
