The Magpies' second home game in seven days at Gateshead International Stadium (kick-off 2pm BST) marks the beginning of a three-game week for the Lasses, before some of the squad jet off on international duty.
Following a summer recruitment drive Oxtoby has been delighted to see her team share out the goals so far this season, with four different goalscorers having found the back of the net in United's first three matches.
After an impressive start to the campaign, Oxtoby believes it is all about building on the positive momentum heading into this busy period.
Here are some of the manager's thoughts ahead of the game against the Foxes:
On the return of Nobbs and Gale…
"Jordan's experience is amazing, and I think we've spoken a lot about it. It's been difficult for her being out of the squad, but the squad depth we've got has been built up really well, and it's nice to welcome her back.
“It's nice to have Jessie back, (she's been) loud, as per. Her energy and her bubbliness is really noticeable in and around the group, especially leading into a three-game week. It's nice to have her back, and I think she's enjoying being home."
On the upcoming three-game week…
"There are plenty of opportunities for minutes, and we've got a squad built for that. Every single training session is an opportunity for the players to show what they can do and give me a headache.
"We're in a really good position at the minute, and it's hard for some of the players who aren't getting the minutes they deserve, because to be honest, they are training really well - it's just that others are a bit better at the moment.
"A three-game week gives plenty of opportunity for people to get game time, and I'm looking forward to it."
On the number of different goalscorers this season…
"It was something we were mindful of throughout recruitment that we needed more goals and more distribution of goals.
"But I think the most pleasing thing for me is the unselfish movements that come with creating opportunities for other people through their movement, so that's probably the most pleasing thing for me."
On the quartet of players called up to the Scotland squad…
"It's always an honour to represent your country, and those four (Kathleen McGovern, Martha Thomas, Rachel McLauchlan and Freya Gregory) will be as proud as punch.
"So hopefully they go away, do really well and come back in one piece, now that the shoe is on the other foot for me."
