Starting ten of Newcastle's final 11 Premier League 2 games of the 2023/24 campaign, the Wolverhampton-born youngster later signed his first pro deal with the Magpies in May 2024.
Shahar represented England at the 2024 European Under-17 Championship finals in Cyprus, starting all three group fixtures as the Young Lions qualified for the quarter-finals and has gained seven caps at under-18 level since his bow in September 2024, scoring his first international goal during a friendly win against France in March.
Leo was then named on the bench of a senior matchday squad for the first time during Newcastle's 2-1 win against Brentford in April.
