The teenage defender made his debut for Newcastle's under-21 side during an EFL Trophy clash against League Two side Crewe Alexandra at the Mornflake Stadium in November 2023.

Starting ten of Newcastle's final 11 Premier League 2 games of the 2023-24 campaign, the Wolverhampton-born youngster later signed his first pro deal with the Magpies in May 2024.

Shahar represented England at the European Under-17 Championship finals in Cyprus, starting all three group fixtures as the Young Lions qualified for the quarter-finals.
