Swedish international winger Elanga joined Newcastle United from fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest in July 2025, penning a long-term deal at St. James' Park.
The 23-year-old's switch to Tyneside came on the back of his terrific season at Forest, where he netted six goals and registered 11 assists to help the club return to European competition. In his two years at the City Ground, he struck 11 times and provided an impressive 21 assists from the flanks.
Elanga initially joined Forest from Manchester United in 2023 having begun his senior career at Old Trafford, where he made 55 appearances and scored four goals and featured in both the Champions League and Europa League.
At international level, the speedy wideman made his Sweden debut in 2022 and joins Eddie Howe's side with over 20 caps to his name. He has played alongside both Alexander Isak and Emil Krafth for the Blågult, and Magpies supporters will be excited to see him develop his partnership with Isak in a black and white shirt.
