Lumsden, who joined the club from Portsmouth Women in January 2024, progressed through the ranks at Arsenal Women and went on to spend time with Chelsea Women, Millwall Lionesses, Charlton Women and Southampton Women.

The attacker arrived with much goalscoring pedigree, having netted 27 times in 33 appearances for Oxford Women in 2021/22, and moved to Newcastle after helping Portsmouth top the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division in the first part of last term.

Come the end of the campaign, she had won promotion to the Women's Championship with United, with her direct wing-play and ability to create and score goals making a difference in tight games.
