Superb Southampton win in pictures

Newcastle United climbed into the top half of the Premier League table as they came from behind to beat Southampton on Sunday.

Goals from in-form Jonjo Shelvey and defender Federico Fernández turned the game on its head after Danny Ings had given the Saints a second-half lead.

There ended up being plenty of action on the pitch and there was plenty going on off it, too. The match was dedicated to United As One - Newcastle United's inclusion, diversity and welfare brand - with a specific focus on homophobia. During the warm up, United's players wore t-shirts sporting the rainbow edition United As One logo, while the Northern Proud Voices - the region's largest choir for LGBT people and friends of - performed for guests arriving at the stadium's hospitality areas.

The initiative coincided with Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign, in which Premier League clubs came together to show their support for LGBT people in football and beyond.

Before the game, the club's under-23 squad made a donation to the Newcastle United Fans Food Bank donation station on Strawberry Place, while the Magpies' 1969 Fairs Cup-winning team were guests for the day and were introduced to the crowd at half time.

Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this bumper gallery from the day.
