Toon in training: Buzzing for the Bees

Having trained at St. James' Park on Saturday, Eddie Howe's Newcastle United players have been back in Benton this week as they continue to prepare for the weekend's clash with Brentford.

And the new head coach looks set to have a virtually full-strength squad to choose from, with only Paul Dummett on the injury list after Ryan Fraser was able to resume full training having being forced to withdraw from the Scotland squad last week with a calf problem.

The likes of Fabian Schär, Jamal Lewis, Emil Krafth, Jeff Hendrick and Martin Dúbravka all appear to have emerged unscathed from their international matches over the last few days, although Miguel Almirón played for Paraguay in Colombia on Tuesday so wasn't involved in Wednesday's session.

With new assistant manager Jason Tindall and first team coaches Stephen Purches and Simon Weatherstone joining Howe, assistant head coach Graeme Jones, first team development coach Ben Dawson and goalkeeper coach Simon Smith, as well as Dan Hodges bolstering the sports science department, there was a light-hearted yet competitive feel to Wednesday's work, and club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery.
