Toon in training: Focus turns to Forest trip

Newcastle United are looking to extend their unbeaten run to four games when they head to Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening (kick-off 5:30pm GMT).

Last weekend's pulsating 4-4 draw with Luton Town at St. James' Park saw Eddie Howe's side fight back from 4-2 down to rescue a point, with Kieran Trippier and Harvey Barnes' goals hauling the Magpies back onto level terms in the closing stages of a remarkable game.

The returning Barnes' impact buoyed United supporters after the former Leicester City winger had been sidelined through injury since September, and the 26-year-old was among the first team players training at Newcastle's Benton base ahead of the trip to the City Ground, where Howe's charges will attempt to topple Nuno Espirito Santo's improving side.

Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from United's preparations on Wednesday ahead of the Forest clash.
