Toon in training: Seagulls in our sights

On Saturday evening, Newcastle United will go in search of their first victory on the road in 2023/24 when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion (kick-off 5:30pm BST).

The Magpies make the long trip south after back-to-back defeats to champions Manchester City and Liverpool but will take heart from the fact they are unbeaten against Roberto De Zerbi's men in their last four outings against the Seagulls.

Eddie Howe's men thrashed Brighton 4-1 back in May on their way to a fourth-placed Premier League finish and recorded a clean sheet on their last trip to the Amex a year ago - something they will look to replicate this weekend against De Zerbi's charges, who come into the game off the back of a 3-1 defeat to West Ham last time out.

United's players have been working hard all week as they bid to put Sunday's disappointment against the Reds behind them, with the aim of sealing a win on Saturday to send them into the international break on a high.

Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from the Magpies' Benton training centre.
