Newcastle United's players trained on the morning of Bank Holiday Monday ahead of the following afternoon's pre-season friendly with Middlesbrough.
The game at Boro's Rockliffe Park training ground - which will be played behind closed doors - is the Magpies' third fixture of their pre-season schedule, with Steve Bruce's side recording wins against Crewe Alexandra and Barnsley.
Andy Carroll scored in both games and he again looked sharp on Monday, while captain Jamaal Lascelles trained after sitting out the Barnsley match on Saturday.
