Team news: Botman back to face Wolves

Written by Dan King

Sven Botman returns to Newcastle United's starting XI for their Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers (kick-off 15:00 GMT).

The Dutch defender was rested in midweek as the Magpies beat Blackburn on penalties to progress to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, but comes in for Jamaal Lascelles against Wolves at St. James' Park.

It's otherwise the same team which came out on top at Ewood Park, with Joe Willock again handed his first Premier League start since November.

Martin Dúbravka was United's hero in midweek, saving two penalties in the shoot-out after a fine performance during the game, and he continues in goal.

Kieran Trippier captains the side and will occupy the right-back berth, with Dan Burn on the left and Botman partnering Fabian Schär in central defence.

Willock joins Bruno Guimarães and Sean Longstaff in midfield, with Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon on the flanks and Alexander Isak up front.

Loris Karius is the back-up goalkeeper, with Lascelles, Emil Krafth, Lewis Hall, Tino Livramento, Lewis Miley, Elliot Anderson, Harvey Barnes and Miguel Almirón also on the bench.

Newcastle United: Martin Dúbravka, Kieran Trippier (c), Fabian Schär, Sven Botman, Dan Burn, Bruno Guimarães, Sean Longstaff, Joe Willock, Jacob Murphy, Alexander Isak, Anthony Gordon

Substitutes: Loris Karius, Emil Krafth, Lewis Hall, Tino Livramento, Jamaal Lascelles, Lewis Miley, Elliot Anderson, Harvey Barnes, Miguel Almirón
