Young Magpies conclude pre-season campaign at Barnsley
Newcastle United Under-23s end their pre-season campaign on Tuesday afternoon as the youngsters face their Barnsley counterparts at Oakwell Training Ground (kick-off 2pm BST).
Neil Redfearn's side have recorded two wins out of two this summer following away victories over Hibernian's Development Squad and Rotherham United XI.
The young Magpies begin their Premier League division two campaign on Monday, 12th August with an away clash against Reading - with Newcastle defeating the Royals last term in the division two play-off semi final at the Madejski Stadium.
United's second-string reached the Premier League Cup final and Premier League 2 division two play-off final last season, suffering defeats to Everton and Southampton respectively.
Admission for the friendly fixture is free, with supporters advised to park in the CK Beckett South Stand car park.
