The thousands of tributes left in memory of Kevin Keegan at St. James' Park have been a moving reminder of what he meant to this club, this city and the wider football community. Thank you to everyone who has visited to pay their respects.

Club staff will begin carefully gathering floral tributes and items left in Kevin’s memory from Tuesday 28th July, enabling people to visit and leave items until late on Monday.

Flowers will be processed in a respectful and environmentally responsible way, including being recycled into high quality soil conditioner that will be used on the club’s Academy pitches.

We know many of you have also left shirts and scarves among the tributes. We're working with our Fan Advisory Board on potential options, and we'll share more on this in due course.

Finally, we'd kindly ask supporters not to leave alcohol among the tributes to help keep the site safe for everyone.

The book of condolence will remain open for supporters at the club’s Box Office, which is open 8am – 8pm.

Thank you, as ever, for the love you've shown Kevin and his family this week.
