The Magpies travel to the capital to face Pierre Sage's Eagles, targeting a first win at Selhurst Park since November 2020 as late goals from Callum Wilson and Joelinton secured a 2-0 win in South London.
Jaissle is hopeful Elanga will be available for selection this weekend, with the Sweden international missing the Magpies' last four league games after sustaining a hamstring injury, while the German coach highlighted Ramsey made his first return to the grass this week since suffering a thigh injury in last month's pre-match warm-up against Leeds United.
Here are some of the boss' main talking points from Friday afternoon's pre-match media briefing at The KNOX Media Centre...
On Elanga and Ramsey's progression...
"Anthony has trained this week and worked really hard. He won’t be able to play 90 minutes but he is hopefully ready, at least, to be able to join the squad.
'I am happy Jacob Ramsey is back on the pitch. We need to take it step-by-step with him, manage his load management, we don't want to take too many risks.
"I am pleased that slowly we are getting the players back and the next question is the physical level.”
On preparation for Sunday's clash...
"It was a week we were fully committed to what we want to develop. We found things we can do better clearly in the post match analysis and we have been working on themes.
"At Crystal Palace, we want to show another phase to get three points."
On Sean Steur...
"We are all sure, the whole club, the coaching staff and the players what great potential Sean has. He has shown that already and he showed, like many other lads, there are ups and downs and this is normal.
"Now it is time he is getting that confidence, that maturity throughout training sessions, training weeks and we see it as a long-term project.
"Nico (González) is doing good in that position but that is the competition. We are happy with his progress."
On the pressure on managing Newcastle...
"I have always said it is a privilege to be the coach of Newcastle United. It is not a great pressure, I would use another word. It is a great responsibility.
"There is a setback at the moment and we need to overcome it. The disappointment of the fans is part of the game. They are passionate, especially our supporters who are great."
On facing Palace, who were held to a 2-2 draw against Beşiktaş in the Europa League on Thursday...
"There is always times where you would and wouldn’t like to play against an opposition. They have had a heavy defeat and then drew yesterday. They will want a reaction.
"We can only focus on ourselves, what we can control. We are fully focused on Crystal Palace, to deliver the match plan."
