Nico González will make his home debut for Newcastle United in Saturday's Premier League game against Bournemouth, with fellow new signing Matias Fernandez-Pardo named on the bench.

United welcome the Cherries to St. James' Park (kick-off 12.30pm BST) with ex-Manchester City midfielder González set to make his home bow after an impressive showing in last weekend's win at Tottenham Hotspur, while Fernandez-Pardo - a deadline-day arrival from Lille - could introduce himself to the Magpies faithful if brought on by head coach Matthias Jaissle.

The United boss will field an unchanged side after the 2-0 triumph at Spurs, meaning Lukáš Horníček is in goal, with Amar Dedić, Malick Thiaw, Sven Botman and Lewis Hall in front of him.

González partners Lewis Miley in the middle of the park, with Joe Willock in front of them and Anthony Elanga and Harvey Barnes on the flanks.

In-form Yoane Wissa will lead the line for the hosts as they look for a first league win over the Cherries since 2020.

Fernandez-Pardo is joined by fellow attacking options Bazoumana Touré and Jacob Murphy on the bench, with Jacob Ramsey, Sean Steur and Aladji Bamba the midfield reinforcements.

Tino Livramento returns from injury to take his place among the substitutes, with Fabian Schär also listed. Nick Pope is the backup goalkeeper.
