Newcastle United midfielder Elliot Anderson has completed a permanent move to Nottingham Forest.

The 21-year-old, who came through United's Academy system, departs after making 55 senior appearances for his boyhood club, including 44 Premier League outings.

Born in Whitley Bay, Elliot first joined the Magpies' youth setup aged eight. After becoming a regular in the club's Under-21 side, he made his senior debut in January 2021, coming on as a substitute in an FA Cup match at Arsenal.

He moved on loan to Bristol Rovers for the second-half of the 2021-22 season and played a pivotal role in a successful promotion push before returning to Tyneside to rejoin the first-team squad.

Last season, he made 21 Premier League appearances, starting on ten occasions.

Everyone at Newcastle United thanks Elliot for his service to the club and extends their best wishes for the next chapter in his career.
