Harris, who joined United’s youth setup in 2017, spent the first half of the 2025/26 season on loan at The Showgrounds, registering seven clean sheets in 21 appearances.

The teenage goalkeeper, who was named on the bench of a senior matchday squad for the first time in Newcastle's UEFA Champions League Group F opener against AC Milan at the San Siro during the 2023/24 season, made his debut for the Magpies at under-21 level in an EFL Trophy clash against Wrexham, featuring in front of almost 8,000 fans at the Racecourse Ground in September 2023.
