Barnes' stunning strike against AFC Bournemouth in a 2-2 comeback draw at St. James' Park has been shortlisted.

With the Magpies trailing by two goals against Marco Rose's Cherries, Barnes quickly halved the deficit for the hosts after cutting inside from the left wing before curling a wonderful effort into the top right-hand corner.

Lewis Dunk of Brighton & Hove Albion is also nominated for the prize as well as Everton's Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Bruno Guimarães of Arsenal, Manchester United's Bryan Mbeumo, Jay Dasilva of Coventry City and Aston Villa pair Nicolas Jackson and Emiliano Buendía.

Voting will open at 1pm (BST) on Thursday 24 September and closes on Monday 28 September at 12pm (BST).
