Newcastle United will host Bournemouth in the Emirates FA Cup third round.

The Magpies, who were ball number 26, enter the competition along with the other 19 Premier League teams and 24 Championship sides, and will face another top flight side in the Cherries, who were ball number one, at St. James' Park in the New Year.

Eddie Howe's men - who reached the fifth round last term after victories against Bromley and Birmingham City before being beaten by Brighton & Hove Albion - learned of their clash with Andoni Iraola's charges when Joe Cole and Peter Crouch conducted the draw live on TNT Sports and discovery+ on Monday evening.

Howe - a former Cherries player and manager - has already faced his old club this season, with United earning a point in a 0-0 draw on the South Coast in September.

All third round ties are set to take place over the weekend of Saturday, 10th January 2026. A confirmed date for the fixture will be announced at the earliest opportunity.
