Newcastle United will travel to Edinburgh for a pre-season fixture against Everton at the iconic Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium this August.

Eddie Howe’s side will take on the Toffees at 5:15pm on Wednesday 12 August, stepping up preparations just days before the 2026/27 Premier League season kicks off.

Set in the heart of Edinburgh, Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium is the largest stadium in Scotland and one of the UK’s most recognisable sporting venues - with a capacity of 67,144.

The early evening fixture offers Magpies fans a standout summer away day in the Scottish capital, as match day coincides with the world‑famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
