Sunday's game will be played at the City Ground as the Lasses look to get their campaign off to a winning start, having brought in eight new players so far this summer.

They include 71-cap England international Jordan Nobbs, two-time Women's World Cup winner Morgan Gautrat and Finnish forward Oona Sevenius, who represented her country at the UEFA Women's Euros earlier this summer.

Forest were promoted from the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division last season, but the two sides met in the fourth round of the Women's FA Cup last term. Jasmine McQuade scored the only goal of the game in spectacular style to send United through in January.

And a Kacie Elson strike gave Newcastle the points when United's women last travelled to the City Ground in November 2023.

Kick-off on Sunday is at 2pm and Newcastle United Women supporters have been allocated block A2 in the Peter Taylor Stand. Tickets are on sale here.
