Teenage winger Seung-soo Park has been named in South Korea's Under-23s squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.

The 19-year-old, who joined Newcastle United from Suwon Bluewings in his native homeland last summer, has been capped five times by his country at under-20 level and will link up with the Taegeuk Warriors in September ahead of the 20th Asian Games.

The men's football tournament will be held from 15 September 2026 to 3 October 2026, with the draw for the group stage taking place on Thursday 23 July.

South Korea will be aiming to win a gold medal for the four successive Games after triumphs in 2014, 2018 and 2022.

Park, who made 24 appearances for Newcastle's under-21s across all competitions last season, is the youngest member of South Korea's 2026 Asian Games squad.
