The Toon teenagers took the lead after the half-hour mark at the Academy of Light courtesy of Robinson's strike, the 15-year-old midfielder's second goal in his last four outings at Under-18 level.

Morgan's cross-cum shot doubled Newcastle's advantage two minutes after the restart before Benjamin, son of former Cambridge United and Leicester City striker Trevor, scored within seven minutes of his introduction from the bench to wrap up an impressive victory in the closing stages.

There were full Magpies debuts at Under-18 level for 16-year-old Christian Boothe, following the midfielder's arrival from Leicester City last month, as well as winger Thomas Bowness while Lennon Barber and Isaac Conway were also handed their Under-18s bows in the second half.

Chris Moore's side currently occupy second place in the Under-18 Premier League North, three points adrift of table toppers Manchester City.
