Sean Steur and Joe Willock come in for Nico González and Amar Dedić, who are both ruled out, while it's a young bench for the Magpies.

Alongside 18-year-old Mason Miley - an unused substitute at Leeds on Monday night - are fellow Academy products Kyran Thompson, Miodrag Pivaš, Vakhtang Salia and Michael Mills.

Serbian defender Pivaš is the oldest at 21, and featured at first team level in pre-season. His senior experience includes a loan spell at Willem II in 2024/25. Mills and Thompson are both 17 while Salia, 19, joined United from Dinamo Tbilisi last year.

Tino Livramento is absent from the squad, while Dedić and González joined a growing list of players unavailable to Jaissle; William Osula, Joelinton, Anthony Elanga, Dan Burn and Ewen Jaouen are also sidelined.

Matias Fernandez-Pardo continues in attack after making his full debut at Elland Road but Steur and Willock bring a fresh look to the midfield.
