United make the long trip to the south coast for their final game of 2025 before the winter break, and with two wins and two clean sheets under the Australian manager, the Lasses will be looking to end the year on a high.

While Oxtoby has been pleased with the start to her tenure, she's been keen to continue driving standards within the group, with the chance to move into the top three on the cards.

Here are some of the boss' main talking points from her pre-match interview ahead of Sunday's game...

On the mood in camp and the squad beginning to look healthier…

"Everyone is in a really good place, and we've got a few players back from injury this week, which has been nice, so the squad has been looking a bit fuller in terms of player numbers, and now it's one last push for three points going into the winter break."

On making the Gateshead International Stadium a tough place to play…

"I think for all our home games, we've got to make sure that it's really difficult for teams to come and perform well. We have to make sure that we're doing our part in that, and I think that we've done that across the last two games.

"There are areas to improve, but it's a good foundation for us to build on going into the new year, knowing that we've got a good record (at home) across our last two games."

On still wanting more from her players…

"The clean sheets please me because it gives us the opportunity to be successful in games, but there are elements to our game which we still need to improve on, and that's not about me not appreciating what we've done, but it's about driving standards, continuing to develop and keep pushing forward."

On facing Portsmouth…

"From our perspective, we prepare in the same manner, but this game is really important.

"I think they've put together some really strong performances against good sides, and we need to respect that and make sure we're performing at our absolute best to get the result, because anything less than that and they'll cause us massive problems."

On ending 2025 with a positive result…

"Every single game is important, but this one, we don't want to be letting ourselves down just before we go off on our Christmas recharge. We want to make sure we finish the year strong, and we've built a foundation across our last two games. We're focused on getting three points on Sunday, and we need to make sure we get the result."
