Jones, a second-year scholar, put pen to paper on a full-time scholarship with Newcastle United in the summer of 2024. The teenage 'keeper was named on the bench for a handful of Newcastle United Under-21s' Premier League 2 fixtures during the 2024/25 season.

He will now link up with Nicky Gray's side in the Northern Premier League East Division on a short-term basis to gain senior experience.
