The young Magpies, one of 16 Category One academies invited to enter an under-21 side into this season's competition, have been drawn alongside Bradford City, York City and Rotherham United in Group C of the Northern Section.
United's second-string faced Bradford and Rotherham during the 2024/25 season, beating the Bantams via penalties after a 2-2 draw at Valley Parade before suffering a 3-1 defeat against the Millers at the New York Stadium.
Fixture details will be announced in due course but Newcastle will face Bradford, York and Rotherham away from home in the opening phase.
