Our pre-season trip to South Korea this summer will include matches against an all-star K League side and Tottenham Hotspur as part of the 2025 Coupang Play Series.
The Coupang Play Series will officially kick off on Wednesday 30 July when we face Team K League — a squad consisting of the best players from South Korea’s domestic league — at Suwon World Cup Stadium (kick-off 8pm KST).
We will then feature in the first Coupang Play Series clash between two Premier League sides, taking on Tottenham Hotspur at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Sunday 3 August (kick-off 8pm KST).
ENGAGING A PASSIONATE FANBASE
Peter Silverstone, Chief Commercial Officer at Newcastle United, outlined our ambition to connect with fans across the region: "We are proud to be bringing Newcastle United to South Korea for the first time as part of the Coupang Play Series” he told newcastleunited.com.
“Coupang Play recently became the Premier League’s official broadcast partner in South Korea so this series is a fantastic opportunity to connect with passionate fans in the region and showcase our amazing club.
“Two high-profile matches hosted at first-class facilities will provide unforgettable experiences for both local and traveling fans, while supporting preparations of the squad during an important period of pre-season.”
