The Blyth-born defender, playing of capable at centre-back or as a full-back, made his debut for Newcastle's under-21 side in February 2023.

The 18-year-old is hoping to emulate Elliot Anderson's route from Academy to first-team level, telling newcastleunited.com upon signing his first professional deal: "I think Elliot is a good example as to how he progressed into the first-team.

"His pathway included a loan spell in which he did very well and gained lots of good experiences playing mens' football which I think is very important."
