Teenage Spanish winger Cordero agreed to join the Magpies in the summer of 2025 after starring for LaLiga HyperMotion side Málaga.
The highly-coveted 18-year-old, who is expected to head out on loan, arrives on Tyneside with an impressive amount of senior experience under his belt already, having made 60 appearances for Los Albicelestes since his debut in 2023.
Cordero - a Spanish youth international who has represented his country at under-18 and under-19 level - made his Málaga bow at the age of just 16 years and proved his worth in the first team at Estadio La Rosaleda, netting seven times in blue and white.
The former Sevilla and Real Betis youngster played 40 games in the 2024/25 campaign, registering six goals and seven assists in Spain's second tier before making the move to the Magpies.
