Toon in training: Preparations for Palace trip

They're hitting form at the right moment in the season - and now Newcastle United will look to make it five games unbeaten when they head to Crystal Palace on Wednesday (kick-off 8pm BST).

Eddie Howe's side have won three and drawn one of their last four Premier League outings, lifting them to sixth place and the brink of a place in Europe with six games left to play.

There is plenty of work to be done if United are to secure their place in continental competition for next season, though, with next week's trip to Selhurst Park marking the end of an 11-day break from action following the win over Spurs.

But the Magpies have used that time to prepare rigourously for the trip to South London, with a number of the players who impressed in their thumping 4-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur last time out - including Alexander Isak, Anthony Gordon, Bruno Guimarães and Elliot Anderson - all training with the group at their Benton training centre on Thursday. Serena Taylor was there to bring newcastleunited.com this gallery.
