The Magpies travel to Old Trafford targeting a sixth win in their last seven competitive matches against the Red Devils and Howe, marking 200 games as United head coach this evening, has opted to stick with the 11 which claimed a 2-2 draw against Chelsea last weekend.
Aaron Ramsdale retains his place in between the sticks while fellow goalkeeper Nick Pope is fit enough to be named on the substitutes' bench after missing United's last seven games with a groin injury.
Malick Thiaw and Fabian Schär will line up at the heart of the Magpies' backline while Lewis Miley and Lewis Hall, the latter targeting a third goal in his last four trips to Old Trafford, will occupy the defensive flanks.
Sandro Tonali, who opened the scoring in the Magpies' 4-1 home win against the Red Devils in April, will partner Jacob Ramsey and Newcastle skipper Bruno Guimarães in the middle of the park.
Jacob Murphy, set for his 200th Premier League appearance for his boyhood club tonight, and Anthony Gordon will aim to provide attacking support for Nick Woltemade, with the German striker one strike shy of reaching double goalscoring figures for Newcastle in all competitions so far this season.
Howe has a number of reinforcements to deploy from the bench if required, with the likes of Yoane Wissa, Joelinton, Joe Willock and Harvey Barnes, the latter scoring a second-half brace in April's 4-1 win against Ruben Amorim's side, all among the substitutes.
Alex Murphy, who featured in the latter stages of Newcastle's Carabao Cup quarter-final win against Fulham, is also on the bench along with Leo Shahar, Sean Neave and Sam Alabi as the Magpies Academy trio all target their professional debuts in Newcastle's penultimate game of 2025.
Anthony Elanga, who spent eight years at Manchester United, misses out on facing his former club after the Sweden international sustained an injury towards the end of the Magpies' league clash against Chelsea.
