Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães has been nominated for the Premier League Guinness Goal of the Month award for December.

The Brazil international's Olimpico goal against Burnley, scoring directly from a corner kick, sent the Magpies on their way to a 2-1 win at St. James' Park earlier that month.

The United captain, also on target in Newcastle's 3-1 away triumph against the Clarets, delivered a teasing in-swinging corner which flew over former Magpies goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka in front of the Leazes End.

Also on the eight-man shortlist is Manchester City's Phil Foden, Harry Wilson of Fulham, Nottingham Forest's Ibrahim Sangaré, Bruno Fernandes and Patrick Dorgu of Manchester United, Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and Dominic Calvert-Lewin of Leeds United.

Voting will close at 12pm (GMT) on Monday, 12th January. Newcastle United supporters can vote for Guimarães by clicking here and the winner will be announced on Friday, 16th January.
