Newcastle United secured three-points in epic style on Wednesday night at St. James' Park, and fans made their voices heard by picking their very own Player of the Match.

It will be a night many talk about for years after Newcastle United produced a superb comeback against Leeds United to secure three-points in a 4-3 victory.

It was a rocky start for the Magpies, trailing to the visitors after 32 minutes, but Harvey Barnes brought the scoreline level just minutes later.

After conceding just on the stroke of halftime, Newcastle once again had to draw things level, and this time it was the turn of Joelinton to grab an equaliser.

Lewis Miley once again had a solid game, beginning the game at right back, after substitutions to start the second half he moved to midfield, and even ended the game at centre back, but overall had an impressive night, completing 97% of his passes, winning four tackles, and making seven clearances on the evening.

Late in the game, Newcastle United trailed once again, but Captain Bruno Guimarães stepped up to the pressure in the 91st minute. A penalty calmly taken looked to have salvaged a point on the night to see the hosts once again draw level with a 3-3 scoreline, but up stepped Harvey Barnes once more.

The ball was sent into the box, and bounced around a little before Barnes turned and fired towards net, beating Lucas Perri in the Leeds United goal, and securing three-points, Newcastle United's third win in a row, and the exclamation mark on a night many will remember for a very long time.

After the match, fans voted in their numbers to pick their very own Player of the Match, and after his heroic two-goal performance, it's no surprise that with 61% of the vote, Harvey Barnes was selected by the fans.

Lewis Miley, the winner of the vote from the Crystal Palace victory finished in second place with 23%, while Joelinton finished with 10%, and club captain Bruno Guimarães ended the vote with 6%.

Thank you to all who voted!
