United head to Craven Cottage for their final fixture before the November international break, with Merseyside-born Jones tasked with keeping order in west London.

The 39-year-old has been a top flight referee since 2019, having spent three years in the EFL prior to that. He was promoted to the FIFA list of international referees in 2023.

He has already overseen one of the Magpies' fixtures this term - the 2-2 home draw with Bournemouth in September, in which he booked Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa along with three Cherries players.

Last term, he took charge of four games involving Newcastle - including United's 2-0 defeat at Craven Cottage on the final day of the campaign.
