After a goalless first-half at the Magpies' Little Benton Academy, the hosts took the lead inside the opening two minutes of the restart through Alfie Hutchison's opener, with the Dunfermline-born teenager also scoring in August's reverse win against Wolves.
United's youngsters doubled their advantage in the 67th minute courtesy of Muawiya Ghanem's strike, with the promising 15-year-old making his first start at Under-18 level in the process.
Leon Mukumbira, who joined Newcastle's Academy from Peterborough United in the summer of 2024, was handed his under-18s debut in the closing stages before Newcastle's hopes of a clean sheet were dashed in the 89th minute as Elliott Saba set up a nervy finale.
However, Chris Moore's side managed to see out the contest to move into third place of the table with three league games remaining before the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
