Barnes is a goalscoring and goal-making winger who joined United from the Foxes in the summer of 2023.

He came through the Foxes' youth academy, clocking up 187 first team appearances and winning the FA Cup in 2021 after loan spells at MK Dons, Barnsley and West Bromwich Albion.

Barnes - who made his senior England debut in 2020 - recorded the best Premier League goalscoring return of his career in 2022/23, netting 13 times to finish as the club's top scorer despite his side's eventual relegation.

He signed a five-year contract at St. James' Park and made an immediate impact, scoring on his Premier League debut in the 5-1 win over Aston Villa in August 2023.
