Torpey made 48 appearances in Melbourne, twice being named in the PFA Team of the Season for her performances at full-back. Prior to that, she spent the first years of her professional career at Brisbane Roar.

The defender has 21 caps for the Matildas, and was part of their squad for the Olympics in Paris in 2024.
