A date has been set for Newcastle United's Carabao Cup third round tie at home to Bradford City.

The Magpies, who won the competition last season after a 2-1 win against Liverpool in the final at Wembley, were handed a home draw against the League One side, who claimed a 3-0 away win against Stoke City in round two.

It has been confirmed that the game will take place at St. James' Park on Wednesday, 24th September, with kick-off set at 7:45pm (BST). The game will be shown live on Sky Sports+.

United will also wear the very first Carabao Cup gold badge featuring the number one to mark their victory in the 2024/25 Carabao Cup, which was the club's first in the competition and first domestic trophy in 70 years.

Any further details, including ticket information, will be confirmed on newcastleunited.com in due course.
