Sandro Tonali and Dan Burn will start for Newcastle United on Saturday as Magpies head coach Eddie Howe makes two changes to his side for the trip to Crystal Palace (kick-off 3pm GMT).

Midfielder Tonali will line up in place of Sean Longstaff, while defender Burn comes into the United defence at the expense of Lloyd Kelly in Howe's only alterations from the team that were beaten at home by West Ham United on Monday night.

That means Nick Pope will continue in goal, with Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall in the right and left full back positions respectively and Burn returning from suspension to partner Fabian Schär in the middle of the Magpies' backline.

Italian international Tonali starts in the middle of the park alongside Bruno Guimarães and Joe Willock, who are both fit enough to feature from the outset at Selhurst Park, while Anthony Gordon and Joelinton will provide support from the flanks for frontman Alexander Isak.

Longstaff and Kelly are among the substitutes, along with Kieran Trippier, Callum Wilson and Harvey Barnes.

Jacob Murphy, Miguel Almirón and Will Osula represent some other attacking options for Howe, while Martin Dúbravka is the substitute goalkeeper.
