Park Seung-soo

Teenage winger Seung-soo was named in South Korea's Under-23s squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Japan and made his first appearance for his country at under-23 level in Tuesday's Group D opener against Qatar.

South Korea's youngsters, aiming to win a gold medal for a fourth successive Asian Games after triumphs in 2014, 2018 and 2022, kicked off their Group D campaign with a 4-1 victory against Qatar, with Seung-soo appearing from the bench during the final minutes of the group clash in Nagoya.

The 19-year-old, who joined Newcastle United from Suwon Bluewings in his native homeland last summer, will be aiming to feature in South Korea's encounter with Saudi Arabia on Tuesday 22 September (kick-off 11am BST) as they aim to book their place in the quarter-finals.

The match will take place at the Paloma Mizuho Rugby Stadium, with the top two sides advancing into the last-eight.
