The defender was with the Royals since the start of the 2020 season and joined United following the expiration of her contract. During her time with Reading, Cooper made 68 league appearances.

Prior to her four seasons there, Cooper was at Chelsea and was part of the team that won the Women's Super League in 2017/18 and 2019/20, also lifting the Women's League Cup in the second of those years.

Deanna won Newcastle United Women's Fans' Player of the Season award after impressing in her first season for the club.

She's also a talented cricketer and has played for Kent.
